Understanding you.

Without meaning to give you a McFly earworm, ‘it’s all about you’. Given that you have had the nouse to find yourselves here, whether you are planning a Wedding or Naming Ceremony, I imagine/ hope that one or more of the below statements are true:
- You want something different
- You don’t want to do what others say you should/ must/ ought to
- You don’t want to be the same as everyone else
- You want your ceremony to be beautiful, meaningful and fun and not just the ‘boring bit’ to ‘just get out of the way’ before you the ‘real fun’ can begin
Whether or not you knew from the outset that you wanted a Humanist ceremony or you have found yourself on the lookout for a celebrant because your dream venue doesn’t have a marriage licence or the local registrar can’t do the date or time you want, you are all very welcome. I am happy to work with all couples and families no matter what brings you here. I am confident that by the end you will be converted to Humanist Ceremonies as a result of your experience! I myself didn’t know about Humanist Ceremonies to be able to choose one when I got married (more on that story here) and I pride myself on being 100% inclusive, you won’t get any shame or judgement coming your way from me if you are not a card carrying Humanist or lifelong dreamer of a Humanist ceremony.
"A unique and personalised ceremony"
That said, I do still expect the same level of input and involvement from all couples or families. It’s simple really, the more you give the more I can give you back. I don’t really offer a ‘light touch’ option or replication of a registrar ceremony so if this is what you are looking for, I hope you find your perfect celebrant but I don’t think that is me. That’s not to say I am pricey, I just like to offer a really clear pricing structure which you can find by clicking on the link below.
The process does take time (mine and yours) to create a completely unique and personalised ceremony so there will be homework and a lengthy planning meeting for me to get to know you and for us to discuss ideas- this can be wherever works for you, your venue, your home, the local pub or over Zoom. If you want to know more about what is involved then please click here.
Still convinced or now converted to the idea of a Humanist ceremony? If so, you can click here to find out more about me and how I came to become a Humanist Celebrant.
